don't mind me, just venting... TRIGGER WARNING FOOD MENTIONED
so yesterday, i completed my goal of going 30 days without bingeing. I WAS SOOOOOO HAPPY!!!! it felt so good. i did pretty well today. untill tonight.
i didn't binge or starve, but i came close. kayla decided that she was hungery. i dont know what time it was, but it was really late. instead of making leftovers, my dad made AN ENTIRE PIZZA. the smell drove me CRAZY! dad offered me some, but i wasn't hungery so i said no. i had to go to my room to keep from eating it all. and then, dad decided to make tomorrow's dinner tonight. so then i had to deal with the smell of pasta. before i went to my room, look who's talking was on tv. so i had to deal with watching kirstie alley stuff herself and be self-concious about her body... the whole thing was just very triggering. even when i go in my room, i can't shut the door because i have to park my chair.
it frustraqtes me that people in my life don't seem to take into consideration that things can trigger me too. my friends always want to go to the mall. we always have candy in the house. sometimes, i feel so alone. it's like people FORGET that i have a problem!
I WISH I COULD FORGET M ED!!!!! I WANT TOSCREAM!!!!!!!!!

sorry that you are having a hard time right now. Hang in there. I dont think a lot of people think about their actions. After all, it is normal when people make food to offer it to everyone, so I am not sure that your dad was trying to be hurtful, he just wasnt being mindful. Maybe sitting down with your family and letting them know what triggers you so that they CAN support you and help you.

you stayed focused on your goal, even though it was so difficult for you.be proud of that! i agree with cab, about people not trying to be hurtful, but not being mindful. wellsaid. i am fortunate that i have no one to account to, but it also affects me in the wrong way. no one sees how much/little i eat, just me. i think all this ED is so difficult.

i don't think he was being hurtful either, but it frustrated me.

I understand what you mean. I feel so angry and alone and frustrated with myself most of the time. Non ED sufferers just don't understand. When I tried to explain my bulimia to a friend she asked me why didn't I just stop doing it? I couldn't believe her ignorance. Hang in there, 30 days no binge!!! Far out, I haven't gone more than a day binge free for a long while. You're doing great. x
