1. I had a stroke 3 months ago.
2. My parents don't let me talk about any of my problems.

3)My sister is an over achiever and beats me in everything! She's way better in school, pretty, skinnier without even trying, and it feels like no matter who it is, people always seem to like her better.
2. I met my husband on an online dating site. Almost backed out on the date because I thought he was too old for me. He is 6 years older. I'm glad I didn't though because I have a beautiful family.
3. My husband and I got married at a drive thru wedding chapel in Vegas. We planned a traditional wedding, but my husbands family made him call it off. We still wanted to get married so we had to do it in a way where no one would get in the way.

3. My great aunt was a prostitue, have 2 gay cousins, 3 child molesters (I'm also a victim of incest) my other cousin worships the devil, my uncle is a murderer and I have two hard-core drug addicts in my family.
PS. The women that were with my uncle when he murder this man, well they were on Geraldo several years ago.
1. I always wanted to be a Doctor, but never thought I was smart enough even though I was a straight A student in advanced classes. Instead, I became a dietitan so I could take advanced science classes.
2. When I was a Captain in the Army (dietetic internship & long story), I was date raped by an enlisted military police officer and didn't tell anyone. Whose side do you they would have believed and I thought I had done something to deserve it.
3. My stepson told me that I was the ugliest thing that he had ever seen when he saw me in wedding dress. His did nothing but tell me that it was just a 10 yea being stupid. I almost called off the wedding, but I knew how much time and effort my mom had put into it, I was 30 and I believed he was right(that's the part I have never told anyone). I went ahead with the wedding, thinking I was ugly and hating the dress that I once loved, and began a long and painful struggle as a stepmom.
My immediate family is extremely dysfunctional but I came to accept that a long time ago.
Someone recently told me that I am not responsible for having an eating disorder, but that I AM responsible for getting help to achieve and maintain recovery. I hope and pray that all of us here can continue to find the strength and courage we need to tackle the root of our ED and free ourselves from the chains in which we are bound.
My love to all!
