I would ditch him as soon as you find another option
@Karrin: I was thinking about this all of last night and part of me now thinks that he may have been justified in what he said. He shouldn't have been quite so blunt but maybe it's what I needed to hear. I've been treating our therapy sessions more like a general chat, somewhere where I can go and vent about things happening in my life at the moment. When therapy, is really about learning about yourself and how to make changes that are needed.
I think I need to accept that no one has a magic wand that will make this all go away and so I either need to engage in therapy and learn to make the changes needed, or to accept that at the moment, i'm not ready to change and learn to deal with coping in the position i'm in.
