no, im not clinically diagnosed.
im really sure how it happened, past experiences, and then i used to self harm and have kind of swawped self harm with ED. ive always had probs with food, either not eating or then eating too much and being sick. just never this bad or this long.
my family chose to ignore it, if its not there its not real. if we dnt talk about it then it will go away. i kind of understand why they think that, but it makes it hard sometimes,
i have in the past tried diet pills, but i dnt take any now. i just excercise more.
hope this helps
2)Yes, but my group counsler
3)I suffer from an ED because for some reason that is the way I choose to cope with things, in a unhealthy manner, there are multiple people in my family with ED as well, and my father who called me fat and gave me a weight limit and so on...im guessing those are the main points on why. And of course media, they never help!
4) no other psych issues
5) Well, my father contributed alot to it, my mom and twin had ED, and my family never acknowledged my ED. Long story....
6)Yes, I used to take ephedrine
7) never been in IP treatment
8) I have had an ED for about 13 years or more, and I am finally ok with myself. I have struggles every now and then, but I am more stable than i ever have been in 13 years
Yes, just this week
I have no idea- trying to figure that one out. Passion for exercise and healthy eating seems to have just gradually taken over my life
No other psych issues, a little OCD but not close to diagnostic level
Family does not know. I am a single mom with younger daughter. Family will not acknowledge a problem, just think I am too skinny
No diet pills just adivd excercise and in depth calorie counting
One day into out patient treatment- very expensive.
Hope this helps, good luck!
The medication slows my system down so I use copious amounts of andrews liver salts, which of course feeds into my bulimia very nicely thankyou.
M diagnises have been ptsd and major depression, there was a lot of suicidal attempts associated with this in the past.
Two sisters with compulsive eating problems.
My family have mainly ignored ithe bulimia, my mother thought I was disgusting in the past, which was kind of how I felt after a childhood of sexual abuse. I think it is related to self hatred and how you experience yourself in your body, in my experience at least and also habit a very hard habit to break.. Also an emotionally based disorder strongly linked with depression and coping with depression.
I speak only for myself and my perception of how it is .
