I just wanted to share a small act I completed this week that is a huge victory in my book.
I am a compulsive overeater, and I have been struggling with this for over 15 years. I have posted before about how the women in my office buy cookies, donuts, scones, fritters, etc every day and how difficult it is for me. I could never have just one, often two or three or more. I wanted to share with everyone here that for the first time in I can't remember how long I have resisted and not sampled a sweet in an ENTIRE WEEK!
I am so happy and proud of myself, this seemingly tiny task was impossible for me before I admitted to myself that I needed help and started looking for advice. I have also lost a pound!
I know that I will have more sweets in the future, but this has proven to me that I DO posess some self-control. Please, everyone, find joy in winning the small battles. It's what can win the war!

Fabulous. I know what a huge personal win that is. I had the same exp when I worked in large group office.

Thanks guys!! I feel really great about it, and I truly hope I can keep this ball rolling. I just need to find ways to celebrate, as I realize that my only idea of celebration is a food reward... maybe a new piece of clothing to motivate?

Milo, I don't think this is a SMALL victory at all! I think it is HUGE. Wow, well done! I couldn't do it. Or maybe I should say I cannot do it yet. You are an example to me. Thank you!

Spritele, I am so glad that I am able to inspire someone else! It has been 9 days binge-free for me now, wish me luck on day #10! Chin up, everyone :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
