I haven't posted on here for a long time. Mainly because I've been doing so well. I've been in a relationship for over a year now which is new.
But I'm returning once again as this illness is threatening to consume me once more.
I VERY recently found out that I am no longer wanted at my job. One of the main things that has kept me going. The thought of returning to work. Now though, that has been taken away as well as my ability to fight these ED thoughts again.
I feel like I have unwillingly pressed the self-destruct button again and I'm not quite sure where this is going to lead me. I can not face fighting it right now and so I'm slowly slipping back.
If anyone has any advice or can offer support if they've been in similar situations it would be most appreciated.

First of all congratulations on your success thus far. You should be very proud of yourself for that. The loss of your job is an obvious trigger for you. You are equating the loss with feeling worthless, but of course, these are thoughts that come directly from the same place where your ED lives. They are irrational thoughts and what you have to do for yourself is bring in compassion for yourself for facing a difficult situation. The loss of a job is just one of many life's challenges that we all face at one time or another. I myself have lost quite a few jobs over the years, but what I learned is that this was really part of my own destiny because when one door closed, another one opened to a much better opportunity. If you can turn your thoughts around and see this loss as a possibility for better things to come your way in the future, then you won't sink into that feeling that you are less than valuable. Remember that the ED is never about food or even about how you feel about your body, it is about what you can control when everything else around you seems out of your control. However, there are many things that are within your control that can lead to much more wonderful things down the road as evidenced by your success with recovery and your relationship. One thing that really helps me is to find at at least five things each day to be grateful for and even in the face of great challenges, I manage to find at least five things and somehow that changes my energy. Blessings!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
