hi,
i haven't posted here yet. i have had an eating disorder for over 20 years. i am really struggling right now. i don't know what to do. i can't afford a therapist, and i can't go to the hospital. i am trying so hard to stop bingeing and purging. i have gained a lot of weight since the summer, and my clothes don't fit.
i am breaking out with extremely severe acne, as a side effect of a medication i am taking. (i am also bipolar.) since my acne keeps getting worse, i start to feel like the only thing i can control about my appearance is my weight. i want to lose weight, but i know it wouldn't be healthy. it's a neverending cycle.
i am in such a bad place right now. i don't know where to turn. i feel so disgusting and ugly. i don't leave the house. i don't know where to find help. i can't look at myself in the mirror. i'm so scared. i don't know what to do. i have given my whole life to this disease, and i can't stop.

Can you go see a therapist. It sounds like you really need someone who will listen and support you.

Damn MONEY! Check out the womens shelters, not sure if they'll be able to help. Also check local hospitals, why? B/c a lot of them do have support groups. Check NEDA's website, they may be able to help too (resource wise). If you can't afford a therapist due to the full charge w/o insurance, many do offer sliding scale fees. (they'll work w/ you). In the meantime, try to journal. Keep track of all your thoughts feelings and emotions, where you are at mentally when you do things physically. Make sense? Just an idea, can you sneak some of your questions and concerns in w/ the doctor you see for your BP? Let us knwo how you are doing.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
