well...i refer to ED as a seperate being...like, "ED wants...", "ED thinks...", "ED is angry..." ect...

for some reason i called it mia, then i later found out that this was used on pro sites, but i still kept the same name, for some reason it just seemed right

My grown daughter's & I call it Miss Ana.

I don't know, but it just always seems to hard to actually say the words : "I am anorexic" or "I have relapsed back into my anorexia", out loud?

If you think about it, we should not even have nice nicknames for it?

I should call it "The Demon!"

My book is titled "Rex and Me", its about a Mothers struggle, my daughter didn't like the name Rex, she said I was making fun of her ED but actually it helped me cope.

I forgot to put put my own name down. There's a bit of a story to mine...

When my pdoc officially diagnosed me with anorexia and was trying to explain how bad things a become. One of the things he said was "If one of my collegues was to look at you they would either say "this girl is anorexic, or that she has some horrible disease that is eating away at her"

from this I named my ED - Hannibal

I know what we should call it! But I'm not sure it's appropriate for on here ;-)
Tend to refer to it as ED but its changing sometimes it's now ana which I think reflects me changing too and maybe accepting what I'm doing/ going thru.

when i was in its grip i didnt have a name for it as it would have trivialized it instead i viewed it as a monster standing behind me watching my every move. i began to imagine it becoming smaller and moving further behind me in order to aid my recovery. it takes a lot of willpower and determination to keep the visualization strong, but eventually, the monster became so small and weak that i turned on it and smashed it. i now have my freedom back.

I call him Coach...YOu know that jerk that takes coaching HS sports way to seriously and asks things like "do you want to be a loser?" "PUSH PUSH PUSH"....yeah well thats my name for him...Coach Ed

I simply called mine Ana.

i call mine, when talking to my friends about it i call it my unwanted friend, Ed, Edie (like E-D), and i have also used Junebug, because June was the month that i had realized what was going on with me..

i think ed stands for everlasting death which is all it really boils down to for me.

Most of the time - ED, for evil demon. Sometimes its Rexie. Its a love/hate relationship that I want out of!
