so one of my best friends lives several hours away and comes back to our hometown every year for our high school's football game against our biggest hometown rival.
i've been looking forward to seeing her all year. i couldn't go because my 10 year old wheelchair died. she goes back tomorrow afternoon for work. i was really upset and started to binge on candy that was in my purse.
maria, my kitten, hopped on my lap. i pushed her off over and over. i want to be left alone when i'm bingeing. she wouldn't go away. she hopped up on me again and started licking me.
maria is pretty much the sweetest, coolest, little cat ever. she follows me around the house on a regular basis and thinks nothing of hitching a ride on my bookbag or in my purse so she can be close to me. she's very affectionate and playful. whenever i fall, she's right there next to me and doesn't leave till she knows i'm ok.
but i couldn't shake the feeling that maria KNEW something was off? do you think that's possible?
either way, she stopped me, and i threw out the candy.

I think animals know when we are off. Like when I normally go to pick up my guinea pigs they mostly run away however when I'm cynic they're sitting at the front of the cage waiting to be picked up. Weird but nice.

i think animals know, i especially notice it with my one cat and my dog. unconditional love.

Animals are such smart creatures. They are a lot smarter than we think. That so awesome Maria was there for you :)

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
