Sucks huh?
If you have a form of insanity that means your powerless over whether your bulimic then I suggest joining the twelve steps of AA they b have one for eating disorders
The physical allergy is basically caused by the puking.
It stops things happening in your body when you puke, so signals that you have consumed nutrition never reach the brain causing an obsession with food, usually the compulsion to eat becomes uncontrollable so you eat and then the mentality of refusing to eat kicks in making you puke
This battle between body and mind can have you in an addictive loop to very bad health
The solution is not to puke... Then once signals reach your brain you ve eaten and your nourished the physical allergy will stop and you will feel better able to stay stopped
Then there's the mental insanity where you want to be puking, I can only suggest pros and cons here and researching the health consequences and the impact this addiction is having on others in your life
If you conclude logically you don't want all those bad consequences in your life and you don't want to puke ever v again
Then there's the mental twist where you'll forget all the consequences and be doing it without choosing too...
This is when you realise your powerlessness....
This is step one in AA and there is a solution to do the steps and take part in the fellowship
Repressed trauma had me powerless over my bulimia, in stopping and getting therapy the memory came back and I had to deal with a very taxing long term nearly died recovery
Make sure you have long term support in place so your not in the shi t if this happens to you
The alternative is to do long term therapy, and my therapist said eventually the bulimia would just fade away with time
I personally wanted my bulimia gone so did the AA route and years On its so long ago since I've had any problems with my v eating or bulimia it's hard to believe I hit rock bottom with it
You can be so far over y your eating problems that you can have not one single thought about food or relapsing again
Ultimately I had to take responsibility for my actions and decide I no longer wanted an eating disorder. And with our iron will what we dictate for our body's goes right? Then seek help for learning new coping skills
