Im not a US citizen or resident so no Thanksgiving for me. I get the impression that for most people for whom its part of their culture Thanksgiving is some sort of obligatory overeating ritual. It doest necessarily have to be but if your family and peers do it that way then of course it causes you pressure. But, its only one meal or at least one day isnt it?
I applaud veganism on many grounds - animal welfare in particular. However the restrictiveness involved could be supporting your eating disorder and seems to be causing family tensions.
Its fine to make a vegan dish or two for the Thanksgiving meal. Could you try though to engage in conversation thats not centered on the food/your diet?
