If on TV shows, they showed "normal-sized" people with eating disorders.
I just watched something on Dr. Phil (well, kind've...I saw the intro then clicked off of it. I don't like him, I just wanted to hear the story) about "dying to be thin." It irks me that the ones they always show that are "dying to be thin" actually ARE THIN. They look like what everyone assumes we look like, with bones sticking out, etc, but one of the reasons I personally went so long without help is because I'M NOT SKINNY. No one ever thought "Oh, she needs help, she has an ED." they thought, "Oh, she needs to eat better, she needs to lose weight." But I've had possible heart issues from it, I've passed out from it, I've had bruises all over my legs from lack of nutrients, and I've been hospitalized for it.
I know the people on these shows neede help, and they should get it, I'm not saying that...I'm saying that those who aren't super skinny yet need help, too.

I totally agree. I am also of normal weight, but it comes from excessive exercise and restricted eating. People admire how I look and it makes me want to cry. They don't realize what it takes to look how I look. And I still feel very fat. One blessing is that I am now seeing a dietician and she totally 'gets it'. She says that my metabolic rate is very low and that's why I don't lose weight even though my calorie intake is low and my exercise is very high. The average person would lose weight on what I do/eat. That is always my goal - to lose weight. But I can't, and my dietician doesn't want me to. It's very hard

saddly most shows only care if they are "too skinny and dying" it isn't fair to us who are normal looking so that their is no one putting awareness on TV about most people with eating disorders!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
