I'm home alone. I just want to eat, I want to eat to throw up. Then I want to eat again. All for the taste of the food. The taste without the calories. My brain is screaming "What's the harm" after all, it thinks it's only just this once. I don't know how I'll get through this..

Hopefully you reached out to someone or called a friend. Sometimes watching tv, reading a book, doing breathing exercises or going for a walk to get your mind off of the e/d thoughts can help. hopefully you pulled through the night okay

Green is right. You have to reach out. Our minds can be a dangerous neighborhood. Best not to go there alone. xo

If you are like me then doing something passive like reading or watching TV doesn't help, although they are excellent suggestions. I often try something that totally gets my mind engaged like cleaning out a closet, organizing a drawer or working on bills. By the time I finish what I am working on it is usually 1-2 hours later and I can fight the urge at that time as it isn't nearly as strong.

I can't tell you how many times that dialogue runs through my head. The single best way to fight the urge is through distraction, whatever works for you. I usually go for physical activity of some kind as that burns up some of the anxiety. If my energy is low, I meditate or watch something inspiring on TV. Oprah has been really good lately!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
