but one thing if they feel that you are a health risk and you want to leave and they ask you to say and you say no they can section you
In terms of what happens when you go in, it differs in every place. They will devise a care plan for your stay to outline the aims of your treatment and this will be reviewed every so often. If it is an ED centre they will most likely monitor mealtimes and the time afterwards so you cannot purge, and come up with some kind of meal plan with a dietician consult. As I was on a general ward I was left to it a bit more and my meals were not monitored. Hopefully you will have freedom to live as normally as possible. I was on a locked ward so it was impossible to go out for walks etc without supervision which was quite hard. Hope I'm not rambling, just trying to let you know what its like. But if you have been told you should go in, I definitely would, as it can be a lifesaver. If you want to know anything else feel free to message me and I will tell you what I can. Good luck with your recovery xxx
