I've had eating problems for the past two years and they, along with my depression have become something that feels ever present in my life. I can't imagine life without them and therefor I can never find a middle ground between the two extremes. I am either fasting for up to 60 hours at a time or bingeing. Basically I fast until there my body is so weak I feel as if I can't go on without food so I eat and it triggers a binge. I have that mentality "If I eat something, I eat everything. So I eat nothing," I honestly don't know what to do anymore. I realize that I need to try and eat three meals a day and attempt to get some form of normalcy back in my life. I realize I need help and I want to change, but I also know that I can't and won't do it for myself. I feel like unless I'm forced, I can't bring myself to eat "normally" no matter how hard I try... How can I stop this?

It sounds like things are really overwhelming right now. I've been in the cycle before and it's a horrible place to be. Do people in your life like your parents know what's going on? It's something you shouldn't have to deal with alone!

I used to have a therapist and a nutritionist, but just as I predicted they let me slip through the net after I went away for the summer. I tried to tell my school advisor that I was still as miserable as last year, but they all have stopped caring.

I'm sorry that the people around you aren't caring. It sounds like your ED is serious and you need to get help for it soon. You didn't mention your parents, are they supportive? I would keep pushing to get help, you're worth it and you shouldn't have to fight this alone!

I can't tell my parents. I can't go through that again. My parents would either act like they understood or just push off my feelings and tell me how stressed out they were. I can't tell them again. I never even told them in the first place: my therapist did. If I can't even manage to tell my best friend I can't physically or mentally tell my parents.
