As a hypnotist I have had my clients come to see me to stop the purging because of the damage that was already done to their GI tracks. These are young women in their mid to late 20's.
As the person below stated, you could be asking for a whole lot more problems by witholding this information. I don't believe that is what you would like to have happen to you. The doctors are after all professional people there to give you care, without judgment. You can't ask them to be able to help you that without the whole truth, can you?
I agree with what has been suggested. Tell your DR. They won't judge you they will treat you. One of my best friends is a DR, she's a pediatrician, and often deals with teenagers with ED. She's never judgemental. In fact, remember, DR's are humans. They struggle with ED's (she did as a girl), alcoholism, drug addiction and all other human conditions. So tell your DR. Get the help you deserve.
