ED doesn't seem so pressing today. Did ok yesterday, too. However, have noticed that I don't want to exercise as much--wonder if depressive phase is on the way (also Bipolar). I don't want to re-gain back any weight that I've lost, but fear I might.

great job on beating ed yesterday, every meal every day we win is huge!! I hope your depressive state isn't coming back, I have gone from compulsive exercise to somedays doing nothing. I feel funny when it happens but it is okay, sometimes we just don't want to for many reasons. try going out for a walk, change your routine, sometimes it is boredom of the same routine. hugss

Well done on the win! Understand the ups and the downs as have DID myself as well as extreme PTSD. Try not to worry too much about the meds and gaining; if you're anxious it won't help. All you do is work with what you have and do your best in each moment... take it easy and you will get there... one day at a time, one baby step at a time :)

Im glad youre feeling some ease with regards to eating. Im not Bipolar but I do know how feelings and moods can descend upon me and take over. I hope you have medication or some other means of managing your Bipolar disorder.

I take Abilify and Effexor xr for Bipolar, sometimes when I have a panic attack I take Ativan, but I try not to use it very often. I'll be starting with a new therapist at the end of the month. I don't know yet if I'll mention ED or not. I kind of feel like clamming up about that, not really wanting to talk about it right now, does this happen to anyone else?

Yes I know. It takes a lot of courage and trust to talk about EDs. Its not the sort of thing you can just bring up even with a professional. It is an important aspect of you that your therapist should be aware of but I think its fine to take your time in telling about it. Once you and the new therapist know each other a bit better and if you find him/her easy to communicate with then you can tell more about these deep issues that we tend to feel ashamed of.

I'm happy to hear you are doing well the last couple of days. Bipolar must be extremely difficult to cope with. I have severe major depression so I understand the lows. I struggle to exercise because I never feel like I have the energy, probably due to lack of nutrition. Keep doing your best to take care of you. Hugs!
