my EDNOS came out in several ways when i was a teenager. i binged, hid food, was obsessed with losing weight, and went on diet after diet. if you can think of a diet, i bet you money i did it..
my 13 year old sister has gone back and forth about whether or not she wants to be a vegitarian. she loves animals, and does not feel it is ok for her to eat them. she has again made the choice to be a vegitarian. we all fully support her in this choice, and my parents are making sure she is eating well.
my problem is that she has finished shopping for groceries with my dad and she bought rice cakes, diet pop, and other foods i used to use when i was dieting.
i worked with god for a year to stop dieting. i'm still working on not starving, but i have stopped dieting and weighing myself and obsessively excercising completely. i REALLY don't want to relapse back into that area of my EDNOS. having all that diet food in the house is going to continue to be a HUGE trigger. any suggestions on how to deal with this would be greatly appreciated.-fallon

Hopefully having stopped dieting for a year has given you enough time and strength to resist the urge. And maybe you can talk to her that being a vegetarian doesn't mean she has to buy diet foods, like the pop, not that it's healthy anyway.

it is good you are still working and that you have made it a year, use that strength to battle your thoughts about the "diet" foods. your sister and dad need to know what to buy to eat properly as a vegetarian, if not she will soon become unhealthy.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
