Are you currently in any kind of therapy? If not, my advice is is to get there.....the sooner you get a handle on the binge - purge problem the better. Trust me, it becomes addictive real quick. It is not uncommon to swing between anorexia and bulimia, according to alot of gals on this site. I've only ever been bulimic, but the longer you leave it sweetie, the harder it is to treat....

I started off as anorexic and probably had my first binge/purge after about six months too. It's quite common as your body has been deprived food for so long it craves it. It is extremely addictive. I began binging and purging about once a week but before I went into in-patient treatment it had become more like six times a day. As you probably know, binging and purging fucks with your moods, ruins your teeth and can cause some pretty serious stomach and even heart problems. My potasium levels were so low i nearly had heart failure. Get some serious help as soon as you can!

i have at one time had every eating disorder there is (well i suppose not every one) but i first had compulsive binge eating disorder then bulimia then anorexia then bulimia again its crazy how it can justs kinda flop back and forth like that. but i do really really think you need to talk to someone about the binging. all your doing is taking ana and introducing her to mia and theyre gonna having a god damn party in your honor. stop it now while you still can. take care

You will definitely be more apt to binge if you had been starving yourself. Your body reacting to being deprived and will therefore turn ravenous on you. It is very common for us to flip flop from one ED to another. It feels like you can't control what you are eating because your body actaully wants the food because it hasn't been used to getting any. When I started to eat again after being anorexic for so long, my body didn't know what to do. I went from eating tiny meals, to my body saying to me "OMG, this tastes INCREDIBLE..I WANT MORE! We haven't had this in forever" Does that make sense? We, more often than not go from one extreme to the other. A huge part of recovery is finding that middle...which is easier said than done, but DEFINITELY possible. When you have the urge to binge give yourself plenty of room around it. For me, I try to even for a second fight the compulsion, and ask where it is coming from. I am working on checking in with my boy and seeing what information is underneath my desire to b/p. It is a practice I am still new to, but is helping a great deal. Stay Strong..
