if you still end up binging while following a meal plan, what usually works for me is to get away from situations with food--go for a walk, take a shower, play some music, etc.--and take some time for yourself to calm down. whatever happens, don't let yourself use a binge as a reason to start restricting again! One binge is not going to make you gain 10 lbs overnight. If you want to talk about any of this please feel free to message me :)
And yes I have a meal plan that includes three large meals, three 200 calorie snacks, and three protein shakes.
However, if you are 'bingeing', and feeling guilty about it, and restricting after binges, this is a concern. It's categorising foods into good and bad that got us into this mess in the first place!
I've struggled with binge eating following anorexia, so I know exactly how you feel, but I've nearly overcome my binge-eating, and looking back, the bingeing was okay, but it was the restricting after and focusing on weight after that wasn't.
My advice, try and get out of the habit of seeing food as bad. If you feel like eating, eat, and eat it slowly- enjoy it!
Just don't restrict/ purge/ excercise excessively after, if you do, maybe see a dietician/ psychologist about it.
And if you can, invite some girlfriends over if you have any and have a pig-out session with yummy foods. Often binge-eaters fall into the trap of only eating alone. Eating socially can help you realise that having treats/ overeating is healthy, and you can enjoy it too.
Either way, all the best, feel free to message me! :) x
I guess I just scare myself sometimes because I know I'm full but I still don't wantto stop. Maybe its all a part of the refeeding process? I''m not sure I just don't like the way it makes me feel but I'll try hard to just move on from binges.
