I was going to post this as a journal entry and then I thought, no, I think maybe this might be insentive to people.
I go to day patients 5 days a week and I was an inpatient for just over 4 months at the same place. I became good friends with some of the girls in both programmes.
This is about one of those girls. Everyone was unable to convince her that she really needed the help so she was in treatment for a very long time. She then had to move house meaning she was out of the catchment area for that hospital and was going to be an outpatient. She became very ill again and ended up in another hospital where she was then too ill medically to stay there. She was then sent to a general hospital to receive further treatement.
Unfortunately though, she died in her sleep this morning.
I felt it was important to share this with you, not only to help me cope but to also make people aware of just how quickly things can esculate.
Rest in peace Lorry, I will miss you dearly,

I think that we do need to remind ourselves that 20/100 thats 2/10 people will die from either their ED or clinical complications as a result of their ED. also remind ourselves that millions of children die each year from malnutrition around the world. Its very sad when we are touched personally by a loss such as this, make sure you are not another statistic, not today, or tomorrow. xxxx

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
