What do you know, I am 52 as well and yeah, still working on this fricken eating disorder thing. I haven't purged now since beginning of March this year. I am a cyclic type binge purger, however, so I am hoping that the meds and other stuff I am doing will finally work. Knock on wood. This all started when I was about 20, so It has been long enough I figure.
Are you a drinker?
I like to drink.
It was getting a little out of hand so my doctor suggested NALTREXONE.
it is for heroine addicts but is supposed to also curb ones craving to drink excessive amounts of alcohol.
Guess what? I think maybe it is helping with my habit of eating past the point of fullness.
I am doing other things as well so I can't be certain if it is the Naltrexone which is helping, but my appetite is lets say" normal" . SO COOL!!!
Maybe mention this to your doc.
All the best 1968
