First off, congratulations for being in recovery and working towards a healthier life. That is wonderful. I am so sorry to hear your daughter has been struggling as well, though. It is really a good thing that she feels comfortable enough talking to you about it.
As far as seeking out professional help for your daughter, I think it's important that you do. You could certainly start with a visit to her doctor. He/she might be able to refer you to a therapist and/or dietitian who specializes in eating disorders.
It must be hard on you as a mother to see your daughter going through similar things you struggle with. Is she aware of your struggles? Perhaps the best tool you have is firsthand knowledge of what she is going through.. Of course, as I'm, sure you know, nobody can force your daughter to get better. That has to come from within her. Your support and unconditional love can go a long way in helping her to get better. Also, by continuing to take care of yourself and be devoted to your own recovery, you are setting the best example possible for her.
I wish you and your daughter the best of luck. You're both in my thoughts.
I would talk to both a doctor (though i dont know how helpful that would be) and a nutritionist or dietician. They might give you the best advice.
Also, sharing your won experiences might help. Make it a team effort, each of you knowing the other is on their side. It helps having someone. I hope she gets things back on track soon, i'm rooting for her
That said, i would still try to get her Dr to do some blood work bc purging can quickly lead to life threatening electrolyte imbalances adn she needs to be checked to make sure those are ok. Also, it's possible that her Dr actually will recognize that there is a problem and even if he doesn't he may still be willing to recommend some good ED therapists and dieticians.
Also, you can call and/or look online at ANADs and NEDAs sites.....they are both good ED resources....they have grps that meet for support and they can give referrals to good counselors, dieticians, etc
