I hear you. And the funny part is that most of those stories are bogus

it has taken years for me to not obsess about them and i still have to take a quick glace anyway.
they are not helping ANYONE!!!
people that buy them are bloody kiding themselves.
half the time i want to scream, you want to loose weight that fucking fast, only way is to puke everything you ate and exercise every spare minute you have!.
I wish i could tell them all how much it just isnt bloody worth it!

Ive always thought of those adverts as bullshit! you dont have to spend up large to loose weight or get fit u just have to stick at sumthing and choose a healthy life style!

the t.v. commercials and shows and magazines are very triggering for me and it makes me want to try harder to lose the weight. I watched one on new years day and talked about how america is over weight and It was like they were talking to me. I sat there crying and hating my body even more

I totally agree. Our culture is obsessed with diets and the pursuit of thinness at any cost.

my last binge was triggered by an onslaught of nutrisystem, weight watchers, and fast food ads. it wasn't pretty. i wish someone would censor the stupid things.

i mean, to anyone else censoring food ads would sound stupid. but think about it. you don't see anywhere near the amount of alcohal commercials as you do food commercials! (at least not in the us.) how hard would it be to cut it down to say 2 food ads per hour.

however, it seems to me that people with eating disorders don't get as much attention as we need. so the companies probably won't pay attention.

I'm afraid that I get all caught up in the hype. I don't try the pills or anything but I start restricting to lose weight. I did ask for some workout videos and small exercise equipment for christmas and my birthday, Not sure that is a good thing since I compulsively exercise. I need to realize that everything should be done in moderation,
