Dyspraxia & Apraxia Support Group
Dyspraxia is difficulty getting the body to do what we want when we want to do it. Apraxia is a neurological disorder characterized by being unable to execute or carry out learned (familiar) movements, even if the desire and physical ability is there. This group is dedicated to those coping with either aprxia or dyspraxia. Join the group to find support and get advice.
It is very difficult with dyspraxia as people have such different symptoms and need different things, so what works for one person would not help another. What is it specifically that you have difficulty with? There is a very helpful yahoogroup for dyspraxia which may be able to help you.

My name is Laura, and I am currently studying my first year at a BA Hons in contemporary dance. I have recently been diagnosed with dyspraxia which has always affected my ability to pick up choreography quickly (short time memory) so I am now trying to learn more about the disability to find ways that can help me with this issue.
I was hoping that you might be able to give some advice since you have been in my situation for more than 10 years now.
Best wishes
Laura
