As a side note, beecute, my mom found another practice with 2 neurotologists and they are booked til next March. I couldn't believe it. Kinda makes my appt Dec 17 seem like next week.

Seriously. Stores like Target and Walmart make me so dizzy when they aren't crowded. I can't imagine Black Friday! Yikes! I'd be so sick. But I think I could get some deals on-line on that day...

I have a Wii, hopefully I can find the Wii fit on line. I will try anything at this point.

I used to exercise all the time before the dizziness. I remember one time, the last time I did a sit up, horrible for me, that was July 2007 the room took a nice spin on me of course it put me in a panic.

Like Bee I get bad dizziness in Walmart and Target and will not be shopping on Black Friday. I cannot remember the last time I was in either store or the local mall for that matter. I think it has to do with lighting and the crowds, too much stimuli for me.

If I come across the Wii Fit on line I promise to report back with my findings. :)

Can Wii Fit really help with vestibular rehab ? I have really bad vertigo but have not tried any rehab. I happen to have Wii, so may purchase Wii fit to try if it helps. Desperate to get well.

Yes. They have a Wii Fit in the OT therapy where I do my Vestibular Rehab. I even have a "letter of medical necessity" from my doctor. That made me laugh.

i have a wii with wii fit it is good for balnce not really for spinns but overtime i noticed i have stbler balance then i di 6 months ago

What does it to us at Walmart? I mean I can be fine and then walk out of there almost sideways.

i dont shop at walmart i really dont go out until i am really stable on my feet i need to try to get it under control before i venture out

I think that it's a combination of florescent lights (which flicker), the need to navigate (through people and down aisles), and too much visual stimulation.

You are absolutely right Bee. I have talked to so many people who say going into Walmart puts them into a Panic Attack. For me, its the dizziness and I know its the lighting and the people. We have a Super Walmart here in town, I went in once to check it out, left after 3 minutes of being in there, could not take it. However there are stores I can go in with no problem, Ulta being one.

i think it s because walmart is to big as soon as i get in there the whole thing spins and i get really disoriented i have to just stop for a whole couple of minutes and then my day is ruined not like i want to be of balance all day so i dont go there much and when i do i hold hubbys arm tight and take little steps. with ear plugs the noise for me does it it echos so bad the lighting is bad but not as much as how big it is and the noise i cnt seem to block out any of it
