Dizziness & Vertigo Support Group
Dizziness is the sensation of instability. Vertigo refers to dizziness with a sensation of motion. Vertigo is more likely than other types of dizziness to be associated with nausea, vomiting, or double vision, to occur even when lying down, and to feel better with the eyes closed. I've come to realize that I have 2 different categories of dizzy.
#1 is what I call "background dizzy." It's mostly harmless, doesn't cause other symptoms, and lingers in your head for hours regardless of what you're doing.
#2 is "sick dizzy." This is a flare up that comes with other symptoms like nausea or anxiety.
I wonder if #1 is just a weakened form of #2 or if they come from different sources?
Does anyone else notice a similar difference?

I think just a lesser form of the worse episodes. Ear balance. Sometimes I don't want to deal with it anymore.
Your post is a bit old....I'm new here & came across it...do u ever get quick pains in your head or congestion after?
Vertigo dizzy, to me, is a heavy, headed feeling with intense tight spinning and yeah, it does have those other symptoms.

Yeah, there are times when I get weird pains/spasms that give me a bolt of dizzy.
