Dizziness is the sensation of instability. Vertigo refers to dizziness with a sensation of motion. Vertigo is more likely than other types of dizziness to be associated with nausea, vomiting, or double vision, to occur even when lying down, and to feel better with the eyes closed. I continue to have issues when I eat solid food. I can drink soda or Gatorade all day. I can eat ice cream and pudding all day. But as soon as I eat anything solid, my stomach ties in knots.
Today for example. We went to Panera. I got a Caesar salad and a simple sandwich. I'd been feeling perfect. Then halfway through the meal I felt this huge wave of nausea. That was followed by a flare up of vertigo. At first I hoped it was just a temporary spell. But five minutes later I felt the same. I had to spend the rest of my family's meal sitting there in silence, because if I talked I was scared I would puke.
When I got home, I took a Zofran but made myself go without meclizine. I took a 2 hour nap. When I woke up, it was mostly gone. My stomach was growling from hunger.
I managed my way through half a quesadilla and a few bites of butterscotch pudding. When I felt the nausea creeping back, I stopped.
Now I'm sitting in the living room with my vertigo around 2 and the nausea around 3.

No fun sorry :( I don't usually have issues eating "digesting" food. I have to be really bad off before I'm nauseous and that mainly happens with my positional. I do suffer from GERD or something in that nature. I take Zegred for that, but it makes my heart rate high, which does not help matters. Hoping you can find help for this.

have you been to a gastroenterologist.

Strange. I'm okay if I eat all day. If I go without food for very long I get dizzy and a bit nauseous. I've gained like 20 pounds in the last year with this stupid vertigo. I hate it.

Sorry you struggle so much. I don't struggle with food either. If I don't eat every couple of hours I get lightheaded. So food is very important to me gettin through every day.

I am the same way with Marah, where I can get more dizzy if I dont eat. It doesnt matter what I eat, but if I wait too long, sometimes I get the low blood sugar feeling and I know that I have to eat cause I then start getting more off balance.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
