I'm just curious how many of you invite your family/friends to read the threads here, or do you keep this as a private place to vent without hurting their feelings? My hubby knows I joined a support group, but I've never shown him this.

I haven't invited anyone to read. He knows,he's happy i've found somewhere for support. everything ive whined about here he's heard a million times.

Pff, no way.

They've stopped being able to show concern at this point anyhow. Can't expect them to much either. If I didn't have this "experience" myself ... I don't know how I'd react to your'alln's stories.

Some know I'm chatting online. Probably glad I've stopped looking to them for assistance and understanding. So, thank you for being a friend.

In all honesty, this is a place where I can come to express things where people understand. Not all people understand. Family members dont understand and most of them dont want to hear when I am having a bad day because of just being dizzy. You're not dying so it doesnt matter. So for them to read these forums, is like allowing me to become more vulnerable to them. And I cannot be that way in front of family.

Everyone deals with things in their own way. Sometimes I dont want to go anywhere, and other times its really based on how I feel that day. But I am usually forced to go places because my wife wants to get out of the house, when I would rather stay inside or just do things around the house. But lately, I have not had a weekend to really sit and relax, cause its always been gotta go here there and everywhere.

But this is my personal time to talk with people who are like me. And I like have that privacy. :)

My wife is very good and supportive. I don't want here looking at the negative side besides what she sees in me. Ignorance is bliss. That probably makes it easier for her to help me. For her help and guidence I'm so grateful. The real negative stuff she doesn't need to see.
