Make sure its the ACV with the mother in it, not the kind you buy at the grocery store like heinz.

HI, it's also a natural parasite control for animals. I feed my horse about 1 cup every day alsong with garlic powder as an additive in his grain. The 'natural' vets swear by this combination for keeping a horses gut [which is very sensitive to everything]in good shape and functioning well. My guy has been 'eating' this combo for 5+ years and although he is now almost 22 [66 in human years] he has been mistaken for a youngster several times. I don't know where you would buy the ACV with 'the mother'? in it, I just use Heinz from the grocery store and it works just fine. :)

What is the mother? I was over near a health food store today and never even thought to look!! GGRRRR

I have been doing better since I discovered sea bands. I will love my MIL forever for telling me about them!! (Did I just say that, lol????)

the enzymes in the natural apple cider vinager is called "mother". If you google braggs apple cider vinage you can go to their website and read about all the benifits and also why apple cider vinager with the mother is better then the regular kind you buy at the grocery store.

Many commercial apple cider vinegars have been pasteurized, filtered, refined or distilled in order to make the product look good, and thereby more appealing to the general public.
Unfortunately this extra processing destroys much of the healthy goodness and thus many of the apple cider benefits that were in the product in the first place.

The best type of apple cider vinegar to use is one made from cold pressed, organically grown whole apples, in which no chemicals or preservatives have been added, which contains the "mother of vinegar", and is not pasteurized. The "mother of vinegar" is a natural gelatinous substance formed during the last fermentation step.
This type of wholesome apple cider vinegar can be readily found in most health food stores and can be conveniently purchased online.
