Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
I don't love who he is right now and i have to much pride to take him back but God help me i still love who he was for all those years that he treated me like a Queen. :(
Sometimes i just want things back the way they were but i know i could never be with him knowing what he is capable of now. On top of that he would not even want me back because id never ever in a million years even if he were the last man on earth have relations with him again(if you know what i mean)...
And if it is not all sad enough i don't think i have it in me to wish sadness or any unhappiness on him. (now the OW that's another story, id love to personally dish her out some karma my style but not worth the jail time)
I missed the red hot anger stage towards him :(
Oh hell im starting to miss the SOB....
I think their first great loss is when we let them go. Didn't beg them to come back or stay anymore.
I moved out of my trophy house because it wasn't me. It was our home but it had too many memory triggers. The new place is mine and very feminine compared to how I used to decorate. Good for you decorating for yourself.
iammine-That is a tough way to end your marriage. Really heartless. That says a lot about him. Try to believe this will be a good move for you. I found that when I let go of some things, new things came into my life.
The very best thing that you can do during and after divorce, is to go on and live life and do the very best you can to find happiness. I have a friend, we all cringe when she shows up because all she does is go on and on about how she was wronged, her divorce, how he better get his someday, on and on. We were divorced in the same year, 2008 and that whole vengeful is getting old and it is aging her! People are avoiding her.. and then I have to hear how lucky I am.. it is not luck, it is work on our part to move on. Don't be a victim.. Living well is truly the best revenge.. and Decorate then Date! Working on me, my life, my house and what I want.. Priceless. God is not vengeful and if that is in your heart, it will only hurt you, not the ex.. I wish all that they reach the point of peace in their life. You are all worth it! HUGS
Blessings,
