I was going to give mine to my son if he wanted it when he gets married. I am not sure if he will wsnt it thoughlol.

I can't even remember where I put my rings. It makes me sad to see them, and I don't want to give them to anyone. I expect I'll sell them one day down the track.

Mine doesn't look like a wedding ring and one of the stones is missing. I am giving it to my daughter to do whatever she pleases with it. Other gold jewelry I sold on ebay for gold scrap and got about $400 for it all.

I sold mine and some other pieces of jewelery I bought long before I married the ex. I'm allergic to something in gold. A ring would turn my finger green or black and part of the year my ring would be too big. He didn't wear a ring and I didn't either. Mine stayed in a dresser drawer. I got almost $600.00 for what I sold.

I gave it to my son. I said melt it down and use the jewels.

I sold mine and donated the proceeds to a local horse rescue organization (something I believe in strongly, but also that the X would have had a blue-tailed FIT over).

He wanted them back. I remember my lawyer saying that. She told his lawyer, they were a gift to the bride, she keeps them. I sold them along with all the jewellery that he ever bought me. I did not get much for them. I gave the money to my children. I kept the engagement ring. That my daughter wants it. It does not look like an engagement ring at all.

Isn't it funny how we worry about things like our rings? But they were symbols of our marriage and it seems like we have to do "something" final with them to symbolize the end.

I just tucked mine away in my home safe for safekeeping and there they still sit. It's a total rip-off to sell jewelry second hand, so until I have a plan, I'll just hold onto them.

I asked him for HIS ring back,but only because I had replaced his original "cheap" band with a significant ring for his 40th bday and put a large "family" diamond in it that I'd inherited from my name-sake great aunt. I really only "wanted" the diamond back and I was somewhat scared to ask him for the ring but I did it (by email!) and he sent it back to me through one of my kids. He wrote that he would'nt have kept it anyway....lol RIGHT!? Like he would've OFFERED it back? No way!!! I'm so glad I had the guts to ask for it. My gutsy great aunt would've been proud!

So one day I may take the jewels out of the settings and do something and if not...the boys can do what they like with them. I have zero emotional attachment to any of them anymore.

Mine are still in my jewelry box. I don't know what to do with them either. I know I won't get what they are worth if I try to sell them. So, they sit. My boys don't want them and I know my future daughter in law doesn't want them either. I guess when the mood strikes me, I will take them and either have something else made from them or just sell them. The first set I had only have diamond chips in them, so I guess they are useless really. The later set he bought me are pretty nice though.

I didn't have an expense ring. We just had gold bonds. Since we got married at 18 (married 32 years) our rings cost about $100 each. I was driving down the road about 3 months after the affair and I just threw it out the window. Seemed fitting and made me feel amazing! have never regretted it. However, if it had been worth more, I probably would have kept the diamond and made a necklace or something.

LOL I love the thought of throwing it out the window - LOL when my girlfriend was getting divorced, I remember being with her one day and she was talking about a watch that her stbx gave her and how she hated it and him. I said to her - well then throw it away and she pitched it as we were driving down the road into a pond we were going by.

It was FREEING for her... Something we'll never forget either - we were just talking about old things that happened last week and that came up... We can REALLY laugh about it now! HAHAHA Good Times...

I gave mine back to my x. Wasn't much or worth much. But we bought them together and he knows the value of it in regards to what they meant. Told him the kids wouldn't want them because now they were meaningless. Let him look at it or do whatever his guilt wants with them. Not my problem anymore. He broke the vows now he can deal with it.

I don't know if it was more she didn't like the custom design her father did, or she had short, fat fingers, and couldn't get it on any finger. So, I took my rings to the jeweler, and had him take all the diamonds and design a new band. I still wear it on my left hand. After 23 yrs, you just get used to the ring, and I don't apologize to anyone when they question.
