I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

What to do with wedding ring?

What did you guys do with your wedding ring? It's a nice piece of jewelry, but it seems tainted now. I'm not sure my kids would want it passed down, or not... It does still represent a long-term love, but it went sour. Thoughts?

I sold his and mine. Got next to nothing for them. His was flattened from where I took a hammer and beat the helll out of it. Lol

I took my rings, had the gold melted, and had the diamonds saved to remake a new ring. It was amazing! I still wear it with pride. Now, to honor, the wife I was.

Ex wanted my rings back. I paid for our rings. Ex was broke, put on a huge front, but after being engaged for a year, I finally paid, within 2 months of the wedding to have rings.

It's why my ring never meant anything.

wow, julchr, and I thought I was the only one that bought the rings. He wanted them back. Well, I needed the money so I sold the bands but kept the engagement ring. Some day I will change the band but keep the setting. Wanted white gold but his mommy said that it was not what I should get. I should have ran for the hills, when he said that.

I plan on selling mine. I know women who have had their stones put in another setting or made into a necklace, but I don't want them-just another symbol of the life that he ripped apart (even though I am doing great).

I still wear my engagement ring because I like it. My wedding ring is in my jewelry box, if my daughter wants it I will give it to her.

    I had gone to the grocery store.  When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute.  A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked.  I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds.  But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026.  I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away.  It was an ordinary middle age...
