Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
An old co-worker of mine got married last year at age 55 to HER neighbor. Neither had ever been married; had both been care-takers to their mothers who both eventually passed. Once the mothers were gone, he admitted his feelings for her and they just celebrated their 2nd anniversary. :)
Good luck with everything.

Can't live in a sheltered little world with no possibility of hurt....and actually LIVE life!!!
THANKS!!!!
First, congratulations on becoming a home owner. I am sorry to hear about the flooding and I hope the remodel gives you a chance to make some nice changes to the home.
I hope the neighbor guy works out. It could be awkward living next door to him if it doesn't. I guess it depends on how close a neighbor. Anyway, best wishes to you (((HUGS))) A positive is that you kind of know him. I would think by now if he was a dud you would have heard or witnessed something by now.
He's a nice guy.... I see it as fun as it is. I don't think I am really ready for more than a casual thing. I am not a"friends with benefits" kind of girl but not ready for the level of effort required for a relationship... especially involving 2 different sets of children. We did talk last week briefly about not wanting to mess up a good friendship (especially as neighbors) when he brought the topic up. I will simply ride this wave and see where it goes!!! Thanks!
I get walls tomorrow then get to spend the weekend painting....then on to measure for and order carpet! Then furniture can actually go where it is supposed to go!!!! I can't wait!
