Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
New Experiences all around!

Good Morning Folks!
My world has been CRAZY lately! Closed on my house ( had been renting then purchased) and about 2 weeks later our area flooded and we had 6-8 inches of water in the house! HOLY SMOKIES Batman!!! Think things are headed back to normal... contractor lined up, carpet picked, paint colors being considered... new doors picked out as well! Going to be a "lean" summer but God has provided very well!! And I am ETERNALLY thankful!!! Dealing with a new experience of remodeling a house!
Then the next new experience... I have been out on dates and dinner and currently have a profile on an online service. It has been nice and exciting in it's own way. Through all of that, my neighbor has been a good friend and a ton of help! Our kids have played baseball together and go to the same school. I have known him for probably 6-7 yrs thru kids'activities and on more of a friend basis since I moved onto this street in the fall of 2013. Recently things have shifted somewhat passing what I consider typically friendship. I don't kiss my friends on the lips! LOL He calls or texts most days and it makes me smile on the inside when he does. He has been a divorced single dad for about 13 yrs and (through our friendship) is aware of some of my journey back to myself since divorce. We also have mutual friends one of whom is a dear friend of mine (and she's been saying to me that we should go out... but I didn't figure he was interested in this crazy hot mess of my life) He is incredibly respectful and patient and it just feels peaceful! It feels nice to just be a woman... and have that part of me reawakened!!! I have been so busy being a mom to teenage boys, building a career to support myself and those teenage boys and completing my Masters and some additional certifications... I forgot about that part of myself! (Oh fooey.... now I have to shave my legs!!! hahahaha)
So.... any advice or thoughts on this new adventure are VERY MUCH welcomed!!!

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

And don't shave your legs just yet--I find that having hairy legs is the best deterrent to having sex--just sayin'.
I agree with those who say to take it slow, especially if you're not ready for anything serious. You are already friends it sounds like, so enjoy the friendship and see where that takes you. Awesome news all the way around though. Just love, love, love hearing these positive things!

PS: He has been helping me around my house for about a yr and a half. So, if he's waiting for sex, he's a pretty patient man! LOL
And yes, women like sex, too!!! Funny thing is.... the conversation is pretty good as well! Time will tell where it goes... I have enjoyed what it has been so far! Away we go!!!
Yes.... woman can most certainly enjoy sex!!! Yes, sheetrock, insulation, flooring and baseboards were removed after the flood. I now have walls, insulation, and trim work! Painting is in process and flooring is the next step!
