Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
I too noticed things my ex never did when we were married. For me, I took recognition when I noticed my ex rendered special treatment that is normally reserved solely for the spouse to OW/s. My brain said "He's gotten his head on backwards And he's smiling about it, too! " That was all I needed to see.
I assure you all...there will come a time when what your ex does will not effect you. You can happen across all kinds of social media and personal comments and you just wont care. I never believed it would happen for me...but it has. Now I just laugh or smile. I need not comment..but if I do...I just say...oh well at least he has found happiness and thats what life is all about...isn't it?
Kim...you are a beautiful women...on the inside as well as the outside. Your ex is an idiot. Let him graze on what he thinks is greener pastures...little does he know...under those greener pastures is a septic field. There will come a day when he regrets his decisions...its all a matter of time. You on the other hand...will have far outgrown him. You will actually come to the point where you say...hmmm...this new life he handed me is actually a pretty good one if not better. Stay the coarse...you are doing great...Big Hugs...Kathy
