Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
Was hoping they were gone forever but I guess not.... I am on vacation this week. Got all the obligations taken care of and thought I'd use the rest of my days for fun.... well... you know what they say about the best laid plans...
All my "fun" plans have fallen through.. petered out.... and I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face. Was going to go away - I'm all packed, the dog has her spot reserved at the kennel and I can't make myself get out of the house. It would be the perfect time to go find a beach to sit on and I'm frozen, sitting here feeling sorry for myself. I don't usually feel loneliness too much - I really do like my own company - but right this moment - lonely has taken me hostage.
This will pass... it always does... just wish it would hurry up!

I was supposed to travel about 5hrs to a girls weekend with some old school friends. I was packed and ready to go and had no thoughts of not going. But when it came to going through my front door, I simply couldn't do it. It was amazing, Every time I tried, I just couldn't go through the door.
I felt a bit of a dill when I told my friends why I wasn't coming but I told them the truth, and one of them called me and told me this.
She had a dream about having a near accident with an oncoming truck years before. She remembered every detail of the dream, and when she found herself in the very situation in real life, she knew exactly what to do to avoid the collision!!!! She said if I couldn't get out the door, that's how it was meant to be and not to worry about it.
Looks like you knew not to go, too.
Strange things happen sometimes.
