I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

Divorce hearing on her b day wed Sept 12th

Well I guess its about here, I meet with my attorney tomorrow morning, reguarding wed, property division, custody, house etc.Most of you guys have followed me through all the hell, from her suicide attempt, to getting my house back. to the most importantly, my sons and his safty and prtection through this hell. Several days ago I recieved her packet for the hearing and affidavits from my oldest step son (25), he was 5 , whenI became dad to him. Well I was slammed with lies etc. I am bracing myself for wed, and will know more tomorrow.

Stay strong, mrstrength. You can do this and come through it to a better life.

I'm sorry about the lies. It hurts so much when you know a child is being influenced for the worse by the person who used to be your partner. You know the truth and the truth will prevail in the end. Don't react negatively. Hold your head high, your chin up and refuse to let them get to you. Don't give her anything to use as proof of her lies, and to build her case with.

Sending hugs and prayers your way. Those hearings aren't fun, but I found the thought of it was worse than the actual hearing. Hang in there, it will soon be over, and you'll be one step closer to a new and better life.

Your attorney will help you through this. Court is usually much easier than people believe. In California, we can provide an offer of proof that summarizes the testimony and any cross-examination is limited to what is brought up in the offer of proof.

Met with the ar the pttorney this morning 2 1/2 hrs well spent. went over the plan of attack and the proceedure, yes it seems alot easier than I thought. It will be protecting my self from her hurtful motivation of making me pay. Still not fun, but today I am feeling better and look foward to getting on with my new life!

very up and down today, my head is all over the place, deep breathing and relax. I finshed a job well done on a shower so I feel good about that. my son has a job interview today at 3, and I just focus on where he is and where he;s going. We have been throught hell and its down to this tomorrow (crying now) THANK YOU ALL! FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT THROUGH MY HELL 10 MONTH OR SO AGO. THANK YOU ALL
