Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

Maybe this is the wrong place to post this topic, but since were all around same age, I trust your thoughts on this. I've dated here and there throughout separation, most were just a single date. Two people I really liked and saw 5 or 6 times but it didn't work out and that was fine, given my circumstances. But in both of those cases I felt excited, and eager to talk to them during the few weeks we dated.
I'm now officially divorced and seeing a very kind, stable man who has been divorced for 6 years. Kids are grown, he's nice looking, and we have many interests in common. It's comfortable to be around him and he clearly likes me. What's the problem? I don't feel that excitement about him. I like him, but rarely think about him when we are Apart. I know he would like to make this exclusive, and I am so hesitant. Should I feel that or will it grow? Am I expecting too much? Do I just need time to explore more now that I am truly single? Or will I be passing up a potentially great guy, just thinking the grass is greener elsewhere. I know you don't know either of us, but any thoughts or perspectives would help.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I think that is chemistry , infatuation, or the hots. important but it cannot last.
Another way of lookig it is....maybe you don't think about him because he isn't who you are hoping for. Do you know what you are hoping for?
I look at dating sights that list profiles and interests, i think that nobody lists what I hope to find and I imagine that when I list what is important to me that I won't be a hot sell. But I intend to define what matters to me in another person before I start looking.
Good luck!
