Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Countdown to Graduation & New Life Fears
Time4Kim
I know some of you may have wondered if I fell off the face of the planet. I've been away for quite a long time. There are so many new people here, which makes me both sad and glad to get to know their stories. And, I've missed the familiar ones. After this last semester, the most brutal I've ever experienced, I wasn't sure I was going to survive the whole college education experience. But, survive I have. I'm now only 4 months away from graduation!! I'm slowly trying to play catch up on the posts and get to know some of the new members.
I'll soon be moving again, after graduation, to be closer to my friends and begin yet another new chapter in my life. I wish I could say that everything was humming along seamlessly in the healing and recovery journey. Although I'm nearing the 3 year mark, I'm still been battling some intense anger and lately fear. I think the fear stems from uncertainty about my ability to provide for myself post graduation. I thought I had finally put most of my fears and anxiety to rest. I guess there's still a lot more room for growth and healing. All in good time. I keep trying to redirect my fears back to gratitude for all the many blessings I've experienced.
I hope you have all enjoyed a wonderful holiday with your family and friends. My son specifically asked to spend Christmas with me, which turned out to be beyond wonderful. We really bonded over the holiday. Those of you who have followed my story will know what a monumental step forward that is for my relationship with my son. I am eternally grateful.
While my future remains uncertain, and the jobs reports aren't always very reassuring, I know for certain that I never would have had the opportunity to finish college and embark on this exciting new adventure in my life had I still been married to my ex. It's terrifying when your whole life suddenly changes, especially when you have little to no control over those changes. But, good things can also come from it.
All my best to everyone,
Kim

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

P.S. I'm so glad you had a wonderful Christmas with your son!
Gees„ good to hear from you again.
I have not been that active here as I use to be.
Yes, there are many new people here. It's sad to read
their stories and know what they are going through.
Most of the time I keep my nose out of it and let the new people
help each other. They relate to each other.
Kim......all I can say is: WOW ! on your great acomplishment.
That's great.... so happy for you.. you girls here never cease to amaze
me. Kim, I apologize..... I forgot what you were going to school
for......... sorry. Lmk please.
Your son and you together for Christmas. What a blessing...
So.....so happy for you.
My relationship with my son and Grandchildren is getting better.
My son and I talk on the phone just about everyday. Unfortunately
my grandchildren don't know me like they use to. Through no fault of my own.
But, that's improving slowly also.
You're a nice person Kim......let no one tell you different
Take care and... CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!

I am one of the newbies so I guess I don't know your story on your son. I have two sons myself so I understand the bond between mother and son. I would love to hear your story if you feel comfortable as I like to have as many inspirations as I can as I am in week 13 of my 21 year marriage breaking up.
Hugs to you!
