I have noticed that with an attack the recovery time depends on how bad it is. I also am very fatigued with the attacks and for me from start to finish I am usually not myself for 4 to 6 weeks. I have noticed that drinking plenty of liquids and and while having an attack not eating meat and things high in fiber helps I also take a stool softner 2 times a day evenwhen not having an attack.. right now I am eating soft things like cream of wheat, jello, soup in a cup etc... so that my colon does not have to work as hard so that it can heal better. I am right now being treated for my 4th attack since last November inwhich I was hospitalized with a perforation. I do wish you the best and hope that you are feeling much better soon.
