I was diagnosed with diverticular pockets after bieng hospitalized in june 2015. In feb 2016 i was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, this after i quit eating drinking most bad things. Sinse then i have had what I call flareups which i thought wascaused by the many diabetes medicines i went on but had bad side effects. i have had about three and am having one now. these are my symptoms can someone please tell me if this sounds like diverticulitus or had anyone experienced them and has a diagnoses. i get extremly nausea like i dont want to eat, extreme diarrhea, continual headaches, and this one really freaks me out and is gross as if others arnt. i get a deep red rash sometimes with a boil or blister on my lower abdomen and this smells nasty, only thing controls it is hydrocortizone cream. I also get stomach pains both sides and gas. Please if anyone has had this please let me know. I am going to call my gi mon but it can take a month to get appt. also i have had 2 colonoscpys this year i realy dont want another drink makes me also puke for hours. Thanks

Having had surgery for Diverticulitis I had some of the symptoms. Severe pain on my left side, nausea, fever, headaches, sometimes the runs other times unable to go at all. I tell everyone if they have any of these signs, Please go straight to the hospital and have it taken care of before it's to late. In my case I was misdiagnosed for over a year with food poisoning and all the time it was diverticulitis. I ruptured at home and was rushed to the ER where I had emergency surgery. This was in 2007. 5 operations later and I still had issues with my stomach and was recently at the ER again for yet another hernia. Don't wait until Monday; go to the ER asap if you are having all these issues and pain. I wouldn't want you to go through what I went through. Good luck.

You really need to be seen by a DR. ASAP. Diverticulitis can be deadly if it is not treated.
Also, please go on a clear liquid diet till you make it to the Dr. That should help some with the pain,
Please don't put off going. If you absolutely can't get in, go to ER.

thanks i will be seeing a dr asap as not wanting to eat ie:nausea is scaring me with diabetes
