Perhaps just my thouggt, but I have reas many of your posts all including the request to email. Personally I would never do this from a public forum. In addition, since we all have a common thread, for our reason of being here, wouldn't your experience be more valuable to all of us .(including those of us who do not give our emails)?
I did rupture and had abyscesses, but my surgery experience is quite different than yours and I no longer have any dietary restrictions nor any further colon issues for almost 2 years since my surgery. I also did not require a bag which is different than your experience. I did have a hernia repair which sounds similar.
Again (and perhaps I'm wrong) but we come here for group support and info. And if you really want to email a member without giving out personal info, there is a message function
you are absolutely right, The only thing I have learned for certain
about Diverticulitis from being on the other forum for so many years is that Diverticulitis seems to affect everyone differently, from stress or food as to what triggers attacks, how long they have to be on a clear liquid diet during an attack to how long to be on a low fiber diet----They are all different. Some people have also found they need to cut fiber a bit, even when they are not having an attack.
Everyone is different.
I also agree on this site being for group support.
I agree that every situation is different and that this is a great place to share all of our info with one another, and I am more than willing to do just that. I offer any help and it comes from my heart and my experience with having gone through so many surgeries. What I, we went through is terrible and if any of our voices can help I'm all for that. That's why we are here. Sorry you didn't understand my reason.
