I wish there was a group here for low carb/ no wheat people
That being said, for those who are allergic it can be critical as some conditions involve a near fatal reaction to gluten.
If you have Celiac Disease here is a support group for you:
http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Celiac-Disease/support-group
If you just wish to go gluten free and want a support group for that you can create your own support group here. It is called a "member group" and anybody can create one. There are a lot of those groups here, but the ones that function well tend to have a good core of active members. If you wish to create such a group, I'll be more than happy to direct you to some information about doing that!
Just send me a PM!
Pepper Man, I was thinking of starting a group, but wanted to "test" here to see if anyone was interested. if I can't get enough interest in gluten-free, i'll see if I can get interest in just going sugar-free which is the hardest for me. the longest I've ever gone sugar-free was when I was in a commitment with a group who were also committed to going sugar-free (I went 11 months). the group was called an AWOL (A Way of Life). but I don't want to do the in-person meetings that required, am looking for online group.
how do we reply privately? I don't see anything to click on, on replies. thanks!

You can count on me for support. I lost 75lbs doing exactly what you are doing, staying away from grains and sugar, all processed food, as much as possible. I went from 250lbs to 175lbs, over 48" waist to 31"....from 26% bodyfat to 19% and I am shooting now for 11%.
I totally get the processed food addiction and hope I can be of some help, it is a nightmare when I have been in the middle of those binges, vicious cycle and I am really grateful to discover that it is not so complicated!
So feel free to message me or check out my site where I talk about eating real food, doing core strength routines and group body cleanse so you can detox your liver and release all of that fat. Good Luck!
Admiral, with lettuce it also has fiber in it, so you get to subtract the amount of faiber from the amount of carbs. The darker green the better the lettuce is. Iceberg is about the worst one you can eat. Romaine is a lot better.
have you had any temptations?
Connie
together we can get through this.
I feel so good. I am probably in the best health I have been in my whole life. Mt last blood tests were excellent. The fact that I lost 80 lbs made this way of eating even better..
So far I really haven't been tempted. I made my kids chocolate chip cookies the other day and had no desire to eat any. Once you get the sugar out of your system you pretty much lose the cravings for it.
