Stay strong, it'll pass

I didn't find it easy to kick the sugar addiction but it does eventually pass as Ravenstar has already said. There is a list of 146 reasons why sugar is bad for you, maybe you could print it out and stick it on your fridge to remind you.

From my personal experience, as you learn to eat less and less sugar, you will crave it less and less. But, I wouldn't deprive myself entirely of sugar because for me, willpower is a depletable resource and the more I want sugar, and more I deprive myself, I will likely end up binging. So, once in awhile I let myself have a few pieces of chocolate and not feel bad about myself. Everything in moderation....best of luck.

I have been working on controlling sugar for 65 years. I really believe that some of us have this gene that kicks in overdrive and nothing takes it away except a sugar product. My best to anyone who can achieve this, as I am and will always be a work in progress. Anytime I withdraw I have a binge which is not good either. It is hard to find what works for us.....

I think try feeding the sugar craving w fresh fruit. For me the more sugar I eat the more I want. Was just commenting on a "fasting thread" and even a 3 day fast(more than water fast) will clear the sugar craving. Until you eat it again.

Let me ask you this did you are do you drink and/are you a diabete
I ask because most crave sugar, got to have it kind of craving.
I use to give people that I didn't care to care about children a grand suger buzz. Im sure parents loved it when they retuned home, lol
I hypoglimca so I do not wish sweets but must use as medication when needed.
Im not point finger, ok just sharing, ok.
now where that donut in my bed that I didn't finhis last night, lol never mind I found pc of chocolate cake, un pillow, lol

If you wish not to eat certain foods like sweets pasta just don't buy. don't have in house r car.
Hang on don't give in yes it is hard to kick a drug. Sugar is use as drug. I half to have a lick of sweet to keep me from totally fainting. Hypog. is illness. banana are sweet to me. I prefer raw fruits. I can taste suger in most foods. even bread and pasta/pizza sause has suger in them.
Oh ya sugar free ice cream. also low carb ice cream. yummy.
Even potatoe salad has @#%$ suger in it. some frozen food are sugar w salt r sale n grease.
Check out candy for dibete people. learn from such people. they know far more than I about sugar carbs...

I think by depriving yourself completely you'll only end up wanting it more. Maybe look into some low cal snacks. Skinny Cow is a pretty good fall-back.

A few small pieces of dark chocolates from a dark choc bar help me when I crave a sweet something.

I am a carbohydrate addict and ANY amount of sugar or carbs (bad ones) set me in for cravings so I avoid them as much as possible. Eat a dill pickle when you crave sugar. The vinegar is a natural way to combat the sugar craving. I sometimes drink some of the pickle juice too (some of you will shiver at that but I like it).

I too like pickle juice. I think that everybody does, not sure.
I hope that decress wants of sugar.
Mine is alcohol but down side is that I eat crackers and chess with wine and when I have the bath room seems like it's a 100 miles away, lol
!/2 glass of wine mixed with 1/2 glass of sprite r 7-up.
I thank God that we still have 7-up and it hasn't been charged.
The nut in NY might fouse on &-up as being illegal and that it has to have white surge not sweet n low type sweetners. Ya Americans rights are being taken away the nut in NY determond to have control of us. he said that we are unable to do so.
