Hi Ruth: I love sweets and biscuits too. So I have a challenge if I want to drop some. The sweets seem to take over. I have leg pain and if I could drop a few, maybe knee joint would feel better. Just keep trying and not give up. We are all in this together. Just take it slow and one day at a time and each day we can start over. I know I have no advice, because I am in the same boat. You are not alone. Take care. I hope your daughter is doing ok. I haven't seen you on here in a while, so I am glad you posted.

Glad you posted too, Ruth. First the obvious; are you getting your water intake every day? Can you keep the sweets out of your sight somehow? Can you make a schedule to have a dessert of a bowl of fruit or something similar? (instead of reaching for other things.) When I track exercises and other activities, making a better schedule, it keeps me from looking from reaching for the temptations. I've got a ways to go too. We can make progress together. I know we can.

How about a high protein sweet? Like Greek yogurt. Or a handful of nuts plus a little chocolate. Still get the satisfaction of sweet but with fewer carbs.

I love some dark chocolate with a mix of nuts from time to time. Raw walnuts and almonds are good.

Hi, similar situation. I have lost over 70 lb so far. But have you ever thought of investing in a FitBit? I have lost most of this weight on my own. By walking, yoga and pilates videos. But i honestly know it helped me a LOT!

Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...
