I am new to this whole support group thing. My weight is something very personal to me so it's hard to share. I had a baby two years ago and can't seem to get back to even close to my pre pregnancy weight. I've tried so many things but when I don't see progress I give up. My husband is not good at supporting me . I need someone to keep me going.

Maybe we could keep each other motivated. I've never had a kid, but I have horrible eating habits. If you don't mind?

N79's little group is fun. We also have the weekly weigh in - and there is no rule that ever said you have to post "actual weight" - friends like to support friends - doesn't matter whether you're posting your weight or the progress you're making. "down a pound this week" is sharing achievement! Feel free to check out the articles posted every week on the "Weekly Weigh-In" too: https://www.dailystrength.org/group/diets-weight-maintenance/discussion/weekly-weigh-in-august-14-20

In past year lost about 20-25 lbs. which actually was more than I thought I needed to - went on the Ideal Protein diet. Any way after being on maintenance for a few months started to see weight creeping back on. I attribute it to be less Vigilant to what I ate and quantity. Bottom line - DIETS DON'T WORK..... a mindful eating plan does and I'm determined to lose these extra pounds and get back to a 'range' that I'm happy with. And this includes eating what I love but mindfully and there will be days that I'll have to cut back and just have less calories but NO more diets for me!! Any one else out there feel the same way?

I have been doing the Wild Diet. It's not really a diet but a life change. I am having pretty good success. I've been doing it since January an although I have only lost 15 pds, it has been the fat around my middle which is what I was after. I feel better too.

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...
