I know it's hard..I'm SO impatient. I want to see results NOW! So I've decided to peruse the boards while I wait :)
Give yourself credit for all that exercise! It will show up if you keep it up! You're losing fat but most likely holding onto some water (watch your sodium intake, too).
Others are saying you look like you are losing, yes, losing size.
You ae looking to be more healthy, so dropping some fat is a good start. Now you need to do someting about the blood pressure; what does your dr say you should do about that?
Muscle does weigh more than fat...so enloy your new leaner, meaner you!
I tend to retain fluid a lot, partly because I had congestive heart failure. My aging heart is too weak to pump properly and this causes fluid to accumulate in the tissues. HOWEVER, even my body dumps the fluid eventually. Most weight gains or plateaus if you're DOING THE RIGHT STUFF, are from fluid retention. Stay off the scale for a while and just keep watching your diet and exercise.
GOOD LUCK!!!
Weigh at the same time of day one day a week....you will weigh more at different times of the day.
What kind of soup are you eating? from a can/tin??? If so...it has all sorts of salts, and goodness only knows what...make one yourself...there are loads of recipies online....using lots of vegtables, and put it in your fridge...its there when ever you want it then too.
Are you due on your period? or on? that can affect weight gain/loss. also water retention.
What other foods are you eating? maybe keep a real honest food journal....you may be eating things high in fat and think that because you eating more helthier things they wont make the difference....but they will.
Also how much water are you drinking? drinking lots of water helps to flush your body out, and keep you hydrated.
Did your doc do your weight before he measured your blood pressure?? if so...do you think you worked yourself up a bit about the weight gain??? if so this could easily be the reason for the high blood pressure.
As everyone else has said....losing weight isnt just about the numbers on the scales...but measurements....bust, waist, hips ect....if you havent done so already take measurements...take a not of them, then say in months time take them again.
Good luck.
Did you take body measurements when you started? This would show you something positive to hang on to until the scale shows a drop!
Kudos for all the exercise!
For years I have wanted to "gain muscle and lose fat." I also don't believe you can lose fat without gaining muscle and gaining muscle means gaining weight, so don't be afraid of the weight gain.
You are also an inspiration to me. I really want to get off my duff and dance and go walking, etc. so what's holding me back?
On the other hand the sodium in the soups that your doctor mentioned can hold you back especially if you are not drinking the amount od water needed to counteract the sodium.
I eat 6-7 small meals a day which has really worked for me. I eat whole oats, fresh fruit and veggies that are easily digested which also help with my weight loss.
I weigh myself every morning which is good for me but depending on what type of meal plan you are on...you may need to weigh weekly.
I would suggest eating smaller meals more often as it is working for me and try to use less salt and more natural flavor like fresh peppers, cilantro, chives etc..
Oh Yeah! Another thing for me is sugar...so you may want to watch your sugar intake..read the labels and also fat intake...get healthy fat from nuts in moderation but there has to be a balance.

THis is the meal plan I am on and I have lost 15lbs since April 3rd.
Many Blessing and Good Luck on Your Journey!
Salt can be brutal..U have to drink so much water to flush and choosing low sodium will help. Ive noticed the salt in my food lately..certain brands are saltier than normal. I drink 70oz of water a day..it's half my body weight in ounces and makes a huge difference.
Muscle does weigh more..not sure how much Ur exercising but when I strted walking 6days a week with my dad..I was 130..a few months later I was 140 but fit in my clothes better.
I weight myself everyday..it helps me keep track and make better choices for the day..when its down I feel awesome and when its up I know I gotta work harder.
