I have just started to try and lose weight again after not trying for months. I joined a health club that has a therapy pool for my achy body. It is really reasonable and tonight for almost an hour, I was alone in the pool. I want to lose weight before a cruise 3 months from now, but I will not set a final weight goal. It is more about being firmer and getting the belly smaller so I can wear a bathing suit in public! I DO have a goal, but it is just a minimum weight loss of 10 pounds. For me, the problem is I stay up late all the time and by 10pm I want to eat again. How do I stop this habit? I try to eat something healthy like fruit, and not junk but I know I would lose weight so much faster if I could just stop eating by 7pm each night. Any tips?

Usually I get a daily influx of emails on health topics. An article from Dr. Mercola really stood out recently though because it mentioned that fat cells have their own mitochondria. Not only was this the first I'd heard of this, he also mentioned that fat serves a purpose in our metabolism. Another new factoid for me. The bottom line for me was to appreciate that even our fat cells play a...

I just do not feel well and I really think that it's because I cried yesterday on my way to work about my Aunt who is in the hospital. I don't think that we will have her much longer. She is very frail. Now she needs help eating. So, this is the third time in a year that I felt this way after crying. I think crying releases toxins into my body. I also worked up a sweat at the gym...

If you still feel like having something to eat just sip your tea slowly and enjoy it.. if you still feel like eating after you've finished your tea then chop up a banana into a bowl and pour some fat-free yoghurt and a drizzle of honey on top to satisfy your sweet tooth ..
Sorry I can't help more :-) xxx
hope that helps!
Smaller meals throughout the day with increased protein will even out your digestion and your blood sugar levels and curb those late nite munchies. Sometimes, I just go get a big glass of ice water and crunch on the ice and that curbs my need to shove something in my mouth!! LOL
The best "diet" i've ever seen in print is a diabetic diet. It lays out a meal plan with the right amounts of carbs (complex) and proteins. Don't discount condiments either...every calorie counts when you're trying to develop a lifestyle change. And quite simply...that's what it has to be. Don't focus solely on looking decent in a bathing suit for one event in your life. Focus on getting healthy and staying that way.
Have fun on your cruise!! Hope you get that 10 pounds off!!
