I am back and right now very determined to see what I can do and hopefully get caught up in how much better I will feel. I have gained another 8 pounds in the last 2 months and am the highest I have ever been. I am diabetic and have been working on doing better but would often give in to emotional eating and grab something quicker and unhealthy. My sugars are a bit high and bad cholesterol is too high. Some time back I tried statins for cholesterol but wound up having side effects (severe muscle weakness)
So I have been on ezetimibe for cholesterol, really focusing on keeping foods legal and balanced (protein, veggies, light carbs, fruit, nuts and a smidge of dairy.) Also have been checking BP as that was actually. My sugars are pretty good (except I still have the first morning one a little higher than normal) and the BP is going down
Wondering when you guys usually do your weigh ins? I have not gotten on the scale since the Dr office which was Wednesday.
PS Cross your fingers and say a prayer as I found out earler today that I need to check in with and spend some time with my sister (who is suffering with dementia which is getting far worse. ) I have to work tommorrow so will be spending time with her on Sunday, I just need to hang on tight because I tend to stress eat up until and after I deal with her. I love her dearly, but it is very difficult.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Is walking an option? I find that taking a walk outside, a walk down the street and working up to around the block, not only helps with weight loss, but it lifts your mood. Exercise has been known to be a natural anti-depressant and anti-anxiety and anti-stress reliever.
Start slow, and do what you can. If you can work up to 20 minutes of walking, then you will really start seeing a difference.
I weigh myself about every other day. First thing in the morning, before I've eaten or drank anything.
I'm sorry about your sister. I will say a prayer for her and for you and your family.
That's okay, tomorrow is a new day. Can try again. You can do this!
Hugs.
